This is a classic scene and one our family always uses.
Originally, our Elf would appear under our tree surrounded by all the presents “they” wrapped. They would also leave behind a pile of discarded wrapping paper, empty rolls, scissors, sticky tape, ribbon... essentially everything needed to wrap presents.
For the last few years, our Elf’s wrapping ability took a serious turn for the worse. We’d stage them in silly scenes where the Elf wrapped themselves up with an arm and leg sticking out, or the Elf poorly wrapped silly household objects.
Last year our youngest son staged the Elf so that it looked like he was trying to wrap up our TV, but ended up getting tangled in ribbon and was left dangling in front of the TV cabinet.
This scene may take some extra effort to set up, but the possibilities for your adventure are endless.
We’ve provided some wrapping paper, little scissors, ribbon, and Christmas washi tape - enough for your Elf to wrap themselves up, but of course you can stage this scene however you wish!
We’re including a parental assistance warning on this scene because of the little scissors. They’re tiny and very blunt, but they’re still scissors - so please be careful. Younger children should be supervised if they’re used.
